In order to enhance the city's museum heritage, consisting of the art collection of the Civic Art Gallery, the archaeological areas in the area, monuments recently opened to the public such as the Della Monica Castle, and permanent exhibition facilities such as L'Arca and the Sala di via Nicola Palma, which host high-profile exhibitions and projects every season, the Teramo City Museum Centre proposes a wide range of educational services.

They are designed to create productive environments aimed at inclusion, thematic itineraries, workshops, didactic activities and moments of in-depth study aimed at providing useful and versatile working tools to stimulate teachers, children and adults and to transmit contents and values of cultural heritage that are important to be shared at school and in the family.

For each school year, the Polo Museale della Città di Teramo (Teramo City Museum Centre) offers all schools of all levels a varied proposal for educational and workshop experiences in museum spaces.

The approach that inspires the educational offer envisages an interdisciplinary approach with the primary objective of fully involving children through interaction and dialogue.

The annual programmes present activities that are always available by reservation, divided into routes and workshops, which often include the creation of materials to continue the experience also in the classroom with their teachers.

There is the opportunity to structure thematic visits, led by a museum educator, to explore temporary and permanent exhibitions in an original and in-depth way. The programme foresees paths aimed at the active use of the museum as a didactic space open to meetings and exchanges also in an intercultural perspective. All activities are structured according to criteria of maximum inclusion and are adaptable to any specific special needs, including with the use of dedicated tools, such as sign language translation, use of tactile and multi-sensory materials, and customisation of itineraries.
